This blog is dedicated to everything about major sports in the NY/NJ area. I am passionate about all major sports.(football, baseball, basketball, and hockey, also includes college sports) but this blog will most likely revolve around football and baseball, the two major ones. For my first topic I want to share my opinion about the recent discovery of Alex Rodriguez taking steroids. First of all, I was appalled when I heard of this. I am a die-hard Yankee fan(which does not mean that I won't give credit to the Mets when they deserve it) and I could not believe that the player, who is on pace to set the all-time home-run record, and sometimes took this team on his back, and carried them through slumps, made it all a lie! I'm not going to lie and say A-Rod was the first Yankee to do this, but he built himself up as a man of integrity and honor, and now, his reputation is forever tarnished. It was a sad day for Yankee fans everywhere, but, there is still hope. Just because Rodriguez was dirty, doesn't mean that all Yanees are. We still have Derek Jeter, Mark Texeira, C.C. Sabathia, Mariano Riviera, and that's just naming a few who have not taken steiroids. With spring training games just starting, we get to see the next generation of ball players. You have to wonder, how many of them will be the next A-Rod, one who will give up their integrity, for fame and fortune.
